Skippers' Choice rally Saturday 28 June - Sunday 29 June 2025

We hadnt been able to make it to Gosport in May so Moody Maid ( Dick, James and Riley) and Fairwind (Sue and Barrie) made the 15nm trip on an overcast day with a SW F3/4 breeze from Chichester to Gosport Premier marina.

We met up with the crew of Solent Clipper (Ian and Jenny) for a meal at the Castle Tavern, just a short walk away. A very pleasant evening was spent chatting and catching up and a plan was made to leave the next morning timed to coincide with the Red Arrows Armed Forces Day display over Ryde Sands. It was a very fine display indeed and we had a perfect view.
