Tuesday Evenings Tai Chi
Tai chi is often described as "moving meditation" but it might well be called "medication in motion." There is growing evidence that Tai Chi, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health.
It is great fun, easy to learn, but takes a lifetime to master. Besides being brilliant at helping you relax and switch off, tai chi also helps improve muscle strength, balance flexibility and aerobic conditioning.
Tai Chi is generally a series of steps or moves of various numbers depending on the style. The style is based on 108 movements, combined into one long movement or a set. You learn these parts one at a time, step by step, over a period of time.
The ethos of this Tai Chi form is that it is for everyone and Instructing is under a voluntary basis.
The first lesson is free and then we will charge £3.00 per lesson.
Anyone can come along and have a go, you don't have to be fit and can even do it if you have movement issues or injuries. We are starting on Tuesday Evenings from 18.30 to 20.30 (includes a tea break) Wear comfortable loose clothes and trainers. No Mat or kit needed.
